Hi I am looking for a good watch does anymone know much about the Garmin 305 or any model of any GPS watch??
I am looking for a good quality GPS watch that is not to expensive. I know their are lots of GPS watches, but what kind is best for the price
Well, we dont start running as a team until about mid August, but are coach wants us to run 200 miles, and yes i can drive, but their are areas like trails where I want to run.
I have never known a high schooler that wears a GPS watch and I wouldn't recommend one for you. Your coach knows how far things are and if you're concerned about how far you're going, map it out with a car or bike. I wear the Timex Ironman with a 50-lap memory. It's a perfect watch.

I used to use a Garmin Forerunner 101 (so a much earlier model of the 305). It worked great out in the country where there weren’t many buildings, but where I live there are lots of buildings and houses, so it didn’t meet my needs. It measured every run shorter than it really was. I wouldn’t recommend it. However, I’m not sure what improvements they may have made to the later model, so that’s just my two cents. Since I run with an ipod nano, I bought the nike+ipod kit which did an excellent job measure my distances until that stopped working all together. Sadly, I have no good suggestions, but hopefully you won’t waste your money like I did.
